A Crack in the Window
Dennis Isou

As the result of his residency, Dennis Isou (Mark Bleakley/Josh Wilson) expands an as yet untitled text into a ‘performance-essay’ which will take place within the project space of Northern Charter. The text discusses a particular moment in the action of spectating - the moment where one is pulled suddenly out of a trance-like state, fractured from warm, immersive narrative; taking a momentary glance into the excess of the real. The performance is shown as a work in progress - Isou’s discussion and interpretation of this vague and intangible phenomenon will be presented through speech, action, video and other discrepancies.
